About the event
Over 35,000 people are incarcerated in New York State’s prisons. 3 out of 4 are Black or brown. Thousands are serving decade-long sentences. At the Symposium, hear from Chief Judge Rowan Wilson, Chief Administrative Judge Joseph Zayas, Senator Michael Gianaris, Professor Steve Zeidman, and formerly incarcerated leaders calling for the passage of the Second Look Act.
People can change, and our laws must change as well.
