Wilfredo
Laracuente

Wilfredo Laracuente is a curriculum designer, facilitator, and justice-impacted systems strategist whose work centers on social habilitation, workforce development, and post-incarceration integration. He brings lived experience, academic training, and frontline program leadership to the design of education initiatives that emphasize accountability, dignity, and long-term stability.

Formerly incarcerated, Wilfredo earned his bachelor’s degree through the Hudson Link/Mercy College program and has since dedicated his career to building programs that prepare individuals not only for release, but for meaningful participation in work, family, and community life. His facilitation approach centers emotional intelligence, leadership development, and practical skill-building as core foundations of public safety.

At Pillars of Promise, Wilfredo supports the development of in-custody, in-person workforce programming that equips incarcerated individuals with the habits, language, and decision-making skills required to navigate work, responsibility, and transition with confidence. His work aligns with the organization’s commitment to preparation, personal agency, and sustainable pathways beyond incarceration.
